A new word

We've been working with Max trying to get him to say some new words. One of his first words was "guys," it came shortly after da-da and way before mama. Girls and boys both are guys and all athletes on tv are guys. In fact he refers to the tv in general as "the guys." Anything with wheels, except for trucks and buses are "go-guys," so we've been trying to teach the proper names. He now calls helicopters the "hell-guys." It's progress right???

Max & Nick

A few pictures of Max playing at his buddy Nick's house.

It's always so fun at Nick's - he has such cool toys and a clubhouse too!

Beach Vacation!

We just got back from a trip to Destin, FL with Bop, Nana, Aunt Melanie and Uncle Greg. This was Max's first vacation that wasn't to a relative's house as well as his first plane ride. He calls airplanes "ana's", so the entire time we were at the airport he kept his face pressed to the glass saying, "ana, ana, ana" at the top of his lungs! He was a trooper on the flight and great at the beach although he didn't really like the sand. He wanted us to lift him in out and of the surf, but that was about it. His favorite part of going down to the beach was spraying off his feet before walking into the pool area. He liked washing the sand off himself and anyone else who happened to be walking by :-) I had hoped to get the perfect Christmas card photo of Max in the sand with the beach background, but it just didn't take - he had zero interest in this which you will see from some of the pics below. Aside from a few beach fits, we all had a lot fun. It's always nice to get away for a while and Scott even got to go deep sea fishing for the first time.
