Princess Breakfast

We went to Epcot for breakfast with Disney Princesses at Akershaus Castle.  This was Libby's favorite day.  After the third princess had come by our table, Max was over it.  He and Daddy finished eating and then went to hit up some rides.

Major Mustache from Phineas & Ferb was cool enough for Max to take a picture with
We were not leaving until she got one of these - adorable!!!

Animal Kingdom

We spent our first full day at the Animal Kingdom theme park, which was one of our favorites from last year.  The only low point of this day was that we wouldn't let Max ride the huge roller coaster Expedition Everest.  He was tall enough, but it looked terrifying and I wasn't convinced he wouldn't be thrown out of it.  He was upset at first, but we fixed it with ice cream :-)

We took the train ride over to Rafiki's Planet and let the kids walk around the petting zoo (cringe).  Libby didn't realize there was a goat walking right up behind her.  This was just seconds before she started screaming her head off!

Libby's face is telling us she isn't sure about petting zoos!
Like last year, Libby still has a healthy fear of characters.  However, Daisy was wearing heels and had purple eye makeup, so that's not so scary.
Max was a bit more selective on who he would be photographed with this year.  He only wanted to take pictures with the cool characters.  Safari Mickey passed the cool test I guess.

Disney

We took our family vacation early this year.  We left for Disney World the day after Max finished up school.  We stayed at Animal Kingdom Lodge.  Animals roamed around the entire resort.  We could see cattle and deer right outside our balcony.  There was also a restaurant there where the giraffes walked right by the window!  The kids thought this was all very cool!

Zoo

We recently had brunch at the Columbus Zoo with Dora and Diego.  Sadly, I have no pictures of the kids with them because Libby is still scared of "costumed characters"  and Max thinks Dora and Diego are "too baby".  However, not a total bust because Libby got a caricature drawing of herself and they both had their arms painted.  Max was okay with having Baby Jaguar drawn on his arm, that's big kid approved ;)

1st Grade Bound!

Max had a wonderful Kindergarten year at Central College.  He made some great little friends and the whole class celebrated with an end of the year party at Super Games!  Here is a picture of the cake with the teachers and the whole class.
