A few of our favorite things...

I thought I would share pictures of some of Max's favorite ways to pass the time indoors during the hot summer days...He LOVES wearing a tie! It started off as a way to get him to stop teething on the cell phone chargers and I-Pod cords, now it's part of our daily routine. If he's playing at home - he's sporting a tie!

Another fav is brushing his teeth - he does this SEVERAL times a day. I don't think there is a lot of cleaning action, but we sure do go through the Thomas the Train toothpaste quickly!

Rolling the suitcase up and down the hall is mommy's least favorite thing that Max does. Ours walls have really been abused since this started. We usually keep the luggage hidden in the closest, but sometimes he does manage to find them.

For a short fella he handles it pretty well :-)

Mud Island River Park

We have had a very eventful week with Aunt Melanie and Uncle Greg visiting from Richmond, VA. Saturday we took them to the Mud Island River Park to do the River Walk.

At first Max wasn't too crazy about getting his feet wet, but once he warmed up to the idea he didn't want to get out of the water! We'd put him in the stroller and he cry, "up, up, UP!"

He really liked riding through the big spray at the end of the walk. Unfortunately we didn't get a picture because the camera was in the bottom of the stroller going through the spray with Daddy and Max!

Music for Aardvarks and other Mammals

Here are a few pictures of Max from his Aardvarks
music class. He has really had a ball in this class!

He likes just wiggling & running all around the room & oddly
enough he LOVES when it's time to put the instruments away.

He gets so excited when "bye-bye instruments" starts up that
he runs to put them in the right boxes. He even puts away the
ones that aren't his! I have tried to use the "bye-bye" song at
home to help with clean up, but he just looks at me like I'm nuts.

His absolute favorite part of this class comes at the
end when it's time to get a stamp. He is always first
in line for that stamp!

Giving his friend Bryce a hug :-)

Sweet cheeks!

Max met his friends at the indoor mall playgorund on Friday. My friend Sarah is always getting good pictures of the kids when they are together...

She caught Max with his cheeks stuffed with crackers - so cute!!!

First Day at Parents Day Out!

Max started Parents Day Out at our church today. He cried when I was dropping him off (just like every Sunday before nursery - poor thing), but he held his arms out for the teacher to take him. It was like he knew what he was supposed to do, but wasn't going without making me feel bad first :-) The teacher said he had a great day! He ate all his lunch, made a craft and even slept on his nap mat! He will only be going for one day a week this summer and in the fall too. I think this will be great for him and it gives mommy a chance to clean house (or read a book).
